Chandigarh, Oct 12: Renowned Ayurveda expert and social contributor Dr. Monica B Sood, who has her roots in Chandigarh, was felicitated by the prestigious Sapt Sindhu Foundation, a well-known Delhi-based non-governmental organisation, at a ceremony held here. The event celebrated eminent personalities from the region who have made significant contributions to society, culture, and heritage. The occasion was graced by veteran actor and Member of Parliament Raj Babbar and Padma Shri awardee and acclaimed singer Dr. Jaspinder Narula, who served as Chief Guests. Dr. Monica B Sood was presented with a commemorative plaque by Raj Babbar and Dr. Narula in recognition of her outstanding service.
Dr. Sood was recognised for her longstanding commitment to community welfare, cultural awareness, and educational outreach, all of which align closely with the Foundation's mission to revive and promote India's spiritual and civilizational values.
After being felicitated Dr. Monica B Sood said: “It is a true honour to be recognised by the Sapt Sindhu Foundation. Also in attendance were Shri Pradeep Ji Joshi, senior leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and Justice Sabina, former Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, adding further significance to the event.
The event also featured a special screening of the acclaimed film 'Marhi Da Deeva', starring Raj Babbar, which was warmly received by the audience. The screening of the film was held under the aegis of Nivedita Trust.
