Chandigarh, August 25, 2025:Filmfare hosted theBhutani Filmfare Awards Punjabi 2025, co-presented by EaseMyTrip, at the I.S. Bindra PCA Stadium, Sector 63, Mohali on August 23, 2025. The grand celebration honoured the finest films and performances released between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, marking yet another milestone in Filmfare’s legacy of recognising cinematic brilliance.

The evening commenced by remembering the late legendaryJaswinder Bhalla, a stalwart of Punjabi cinema, whose unforgettable performances and unmatched contribution to comedy and storytelling have left an indelible mark on the industry and in the hearts of millions.The evening further unfolded with spectacular performances by Satinder Sartaaj, Jacqueline Fernandez, Maniesh Paul, Neeru Bajwa, Shehnaz Gill, Urvashi Rautela, BISMIL, Simran Choudhary, Soundarya Sharma, Nimrat Kaur AhluwaliaandSunanda Sharma.

Bibi Rajni led the night with awards, followed by Shayar with 4, while Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di and Warning 2 received 3 honours each. The coveted Black Lady for Best Film went to Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale DiBest Actor in a Leading Role (Male) was awarded to Amrinder Gill, and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) to Neeru BajwaAmar Hundalwas honoured with Best Director for Warning 2, while Jagjeet Sandhureceived the Best Actor (Critics) award for Oye Bhole OyeRoopi Gillwas recognised as Best Actress (Critics) for Bibi Rajni. The night also honoured Guggu Gill, who received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awardwith presenter Jimmy Sheirgillacknowledging his immense contribution to Punjabi cinema and culture. The standout moment of the evening was the honouring of Hans Raj Hans with the ‘Living Legend’ award.

Hosted by Maniesh Paul,Sunanda Sharma, Neeru Bajwa and Himanshi Khurana, the evening unfolded with the perfect blend of wit, glamour, and heartfelt tributes. The red carpet dazzled with a striking mix of traditional Punjabi elegance and contemporary flair, as celebrities arrived in their most stylish ensembles. Show-stopping appearances by Geeta Basra, Raj Kundra, Dil Amrit,Naiqra, Gurpreet Bhangu, Tina Ahuja, and Rabica Wadhawan added to the extravaganza, leaving the house-packed stadium roaring with energy.
