Panchkula, July 26, 2025:
Tanishi Bhardwaj, just 12 years old, has made history by becoming the youngest student to earn a 2nd Degree Black Belt at the Shastrang Martial Arts Academy, Sector 16, Panchkula. Her exceptional achievement was the highlight of the academy’s latest black belt examination held over the weekend.
The rigorous evaluation tested candidates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree black belts. The examination was conducted by Praguru Bikram S. Thapa, who assessed participants on technique, endurance, and practical application.
Tanishi's performance stood out for its technical precision, confidence, and perseverance—earning her praise from both instructors and examiners. Her success marks a significant milestone not only in her own journey but also in the academy’s history.

The black belts were awarded by Shri V.S. Kundu, retired IAS officer and former Chairman of the One-Man Revenue Commission. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kundu congratulated the students and emphasized the transformative power of martial arts in developing discipline, self-control, and confidence among youth.
The event was attended by students’ families, instructors, and fellow martial artists. The academy acknowledged the dedication of all participants and celebrated Tanishi’s achievement as a moment of immense pride for both her and the institution.
