समाजसेवी एम.के. भाटिया ने सहकर्मियों के साथ हर्षोल्लास से नववर्ष का स्वागत किया

पंचकुला , 31 दिसंबर 2024: समाजसेवी और उद्यमी एम.के. भाटिया ने अपने सहकर्मियों और कर्मचारियों के साथ मिलकर नववर्ष का स्वागत हर्ष और उल्लास के साथ किया। यह आयोजन उनके प्रतिष्ठान मिट्स फार्मा के परिसर में आयोजित किया गया, जहां उन्होंने सभी कर्मचारियों को उनके योगदान के लिए सम्मानित किया और आने वाले वर्ष के लिए शुभकामनाएं दीं।

भाटिया, जो समाज में अपने उल्लेखनीय कार्यों और उदार स्वभाव के लिए जाने जाते हैं, ने इस अवसर पर सभी को प्रेरित करते हुए कहा, “एक सफल संगठन वही होता है, जहां हर सदस्य एक परिवार की तरह जुड़ा रहता है। इस नए साल पर मैं यही कामना करता हूं कि हम सभी मिलकर न केवल अपने संगठन बल्कि समाज के विकास में भी योगदान दें।”

इस आयोजन में भाटिया ने अपने कर्मचारियों को विशेष रूप से धन्यवाद दिया, जिनकी मेहनत और समर्पण ने एमआईटी फार्मा को एक नई ऊंचाई तक पहुंचाया है। उन्होंने कंपनी के आगामी आईपीओ और भविष्य की योजनाओं पर भी चर्चा की।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान रंगारंग सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां, पुरस्कार वितरण और सामूहिक भोज का भी आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम ने न केवल मिट्स फार्मा के कर्मचारियों बल्कि उनके परिवारों के साथ भी एक मजबूत संबंध स्थापित किया।

Rotary International District 3080 India created a world record by distributing 6 lakh sanitary pads within 24 hours. DG, RTN Rajpal Singh was the Chief Guest of the event while Mr. Gurjot Singh, General Secretary, Chandigarh Gurdwara Asthapan Committee Sector 22-D and Harshuhinder Pal Singh Brar, Director School Education Chandigarh Administration attended the program as special guests. Apart from them, Ms.Kiranjit Kaur, Judge India Book of Records, Mr. Atul Gupta, Managing Director Nine Private Limited, Mr. RS Cheema, Project Patron and Wing Commander (Dr.) JS Minhas, Project Chairman wete also present during the program.

During his address, Chief Guest Rajpal Singh praised the works of Rotary Club and said that Rotary Club is always ahead in such social works. He congratulated Rotary Club Central for creating this record.

On this occasion Mr. Harshuhinder Pal Singh Brar, Director School Education Chandigarh Administration praised Rotary Club and said that we have witnessed numerous Guinness records being set in the country, but no one wanted to talk about the Guinness record we have made today. He said that Rotary has taken such an initiative of distributing free sanitary pads that the Government of India is also considering the policy of distributing free sanitary pads in government schools.

On this occasion, president Rotary Club Chandigarh Central Mr. S.P. Ojha said that we have made this world record of distributing 6 lakh sanitary pads and have also contacted India Book of Records in this regard. We have achieved this feat by following the eligibility proper procedure and system. He said that the counting was done last night under the supervision of Ms. Kiranjit Kaur, where the number turned out to be 6 lakh 1 thousand 20. He said that now in the next step the distribution will be initiated. He added that this is a matter related to women's health and hygiene, on which work was being done for three months. He said that to make this record, these pads were distributed to the representatives of 110 clubs of Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand, UP and Punjab.

On this occasion, Mr. Gurjot Singh, General Secretary, Chandigarh Gurudwara Asthapan Committee, Sector 22-D, Chandigarh said that for this social work and world record, we provided a hall to the Rotary Club and helped them in every possible way. He said that he is ready to serve in such programs in the future as well.

On this occasion, Ms. Kiranjit Kaur, Judge India Book of Records said that our program today was solely focused on women health and hygiene. She said that while distributing sanitary pads, it is also important to make women aware about how and for how many hours to use them. She said that women should be aware of its benefits.

All the members of Rotary Club Chandigarh and Rotary India District 3080 attended the event. Along with this, members of all the Rotaract clubs of Chandigarh were also present during the program. Each one of them has extended complete cooperation in achieving this historic feat.

ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਈ 'ਤੇ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਟਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸੋਚ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਰਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ 90 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਅਪਾਹਜ ਧੀ ਤੇਜਸਵਨੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਖਣ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਬਦਲਣ ਲਈ ਲਗਭਗ ਸਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਧੀ ਨੇ ਤੇਜਸਵਿਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਸਾਥੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਪਾਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਇਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ। 

ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਅੱਜ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਇਸ ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਜਾਗਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਇੰਨਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੇਜਸਵਿਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਦੂਤਾਵਾਸ 'ਚ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਵੀ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ ਮਾਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਬਣੀ ਇਸ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਤੇਜਸਵਨੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਅਪੰਗਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪੀੜਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਂ-ਧੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ 90 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਅਪਾਹਜ ਧੀ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਰਿਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਗਭਗ ਸਾਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਗਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ (ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ) ਵਿਚ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਵਸ 'ਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਪੱਖੋਂ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਲਈ ਮਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਹਰਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਨੇ ਹਰਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਛੋਹ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੋਨਾ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਤੇਜਸਵਿਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ

ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਪੰਚਕੂਲਾ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ 37 ਸਾਲਾ ਤੇਜਸਵਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਦਮ 'ਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਵੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਜਸਵਨੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਕਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ, ਉਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਹਰਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਹੈ। ਤੇਜਸਵਨੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਜੁਲਾਈ 1986 'ਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੈੱਡ 'ਤੇ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ। ਤੇਜਸਵਿਨੀ ਕਰੀਬ 09 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੰਜੇ 'ਤੇ ਪਈ ਰਹੀ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਾਂ ਹਰਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਲਿਆ, ਸਗੋਂ ਭਜਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਆਇਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੇਜਸਵਿਨੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਜਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦੇਖੇ, ਬਿਨਾਂ ਲਿਖੇ, ਬਿਨਾ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 

ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਰਹੀ ਵਧਾਵਾ

ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਅਕਸਰ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ-ਕਦਮਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਿਆਂ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਰਨ 'ਚ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡ ਰਹੀ। ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ 2015 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀਪਤ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਟੀ ਬਚਾਓ-ਬੇਟੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਓ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਹੁਣ 2024 'ਚ ਔਰਤ ਸਸ਼ਕਤੀਕਰਨ 'ਬੀਮਾ ਸਾਖੀ' ਦੇ ਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਇਕ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਕੀਮ ਚਲਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜਸਵਨੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਹਰਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਾਇਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੈਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਠੋਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਤੇਜਸਵਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਪਾਟਿਲ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਲ ਮਾਡਲ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਐਵਾਰਡ ਵੀ ਮਿਲ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੇਜਸਵਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਰੋਲ ਮਾਡਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਲਿਆਓ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।

ईश्वर असहाय लोगों की बहुत परवाह करते हैं। वे हमसे उम्मीद करते हैं कि हम असहाय लोगों की रक्षा करें। उनके साथ न्याय के लिए काम करें। हमें जरूरतमंदों, अनाथों के जीवन में योगदान देने के तरीके खोजने हैं।

The two-day International 'School Leaders' Conference organized by NISA concludes

The two-day International 'School Leaders' Conference, being held at Hotel Park Plaza, Zirakpur, under the aegis of Federation of Private Schools, Haryana and NISA concluded with great pomp and show. A large number of people from the country and abroad participated in this conference.

NISA President Kulbhushan Sharma said that on the concluding day, all the school leaders resolved to not to leave any stone unturned to make the country's education policy successful and to provide quality education to the children of the state and will improve the shortcomings of their schools by working on the quality charter of Nisha, so that the new National Education Policy could be made successful in collaboration with the government and the country.

He said that discussion on 100 model schools was held during the conference. Hundreds of schools showed interest in 100 model schools and said that we all want to transform their schools into model schools. Kulbhushan Sharma said that now a meeting will be held with all the schools and they will be given information of the format of 100 model schools. Following which selection criteria will be drafted and the schools which will fulfill the eligibility criteria will be made a part of 100 model schools. After this, discussion will be held with many more NGOs and companies to elevate their quality. This model will commence from next year.

He said that this scheme will be provided only to schools and after that this program will run for 3 years. In this, first of all the schools will be assessed and the assessment will be done every year. He said that a monitoring team will also be formed for them, which will monitor and support the school directors to make it successful from time to time. He assured the school directors that within 3 years their schools will be made better and the standard will be elevated, which will prove to be an example before the whole country and show new direction in the field of education. 

At the end of the conference, the school directors expressed their full confidence in NISA and its President Kulbhushan Sharma adding that they were ready to work with NISA and work for the improvement of these 100 schools.

Two-day 'School Leaders' Summit-2024 Commences in Zirakpur

The two-day 'School Leaders' Summit-2024 started today at Hotel Park Plaza, Zirakpur, Chandigarh under the aegis of Federation of Private Schools, Haryana and NISA. World renowned yoga guru and spiritual guide Swami Ramdev attended the program as the chief guest. He expressed his views on the innovative revolution in education and the steps required to make the New Education Policy (NEP) successful. During the event, when journalists asked about a strong Lokpal, he said that his struggle for a strong and effective Lokpal is still going on.

NISA President Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma said that 100 Model schools will be built in Haryana and Delhi NCR and these schools will be accessed first by mapping them with NISA's quality charter. He said that whatever shortcomings are found in these schools, efforts will be made to eliminate them, so that these become quality schools and prove to be exemplary for the whole country. He said that NISA will help step by step in realizing the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the country a world leader.

Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma said that a large number of school directors and principals from various states across the country like Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh etc. participated in today's program. All the schools present in this summit together resolved to make the new education policy successful and work together for its effective implementation.

Chandigarh, December 15, 2024: A Chandigarh based fencing training club, Apex Fencing Club, which operates out of the PGI Community Centre in Sector 24, continues to bring laurels to the tricity and the region by demonstrating its prowess in coaching fencing talent in the region.

Under the guidance of its founder and head coach, Mukesh Kumar, the club celebrated remarkable achievements at the recently concluded Junior 32nd National Fencing Championship where Samaira D’Souza and Kaashvi Garg bagged the bronze medal defeating their rivals from Karnataka. The championship was recently held in Patna, Bihar.      

Samaira and Kaashvi’s stellar individual performances caught the attention of fencing enthusiasts nationwide. Adding to the club’s list of achievements, Kunal Jakhar, representing Haryana, clinched the team gold medal in the epee category, showcasing both skill and determination.

Mukesh Kumar said: “The success of Samaira, Kaashvi, and Kunal at the national level is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport.”

Ayurveda is effective in fighting obesity: Dr Shilpa Jain

Panchkula, December 1 : Obesity, termed as ‘Medh Rog’ in Ayurveda, is rapidly becoming a global health crisis and the root cause of numerous chronic ailments. From hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes to heart diseases, joint pains, hormonal imbalances, and fatty liver, obesity lays the foundation for serious health complications.

Dr Shilpa Jain, a renowned Ayurvedic physician with over 22 years of experience and the founder of Sanjivani Ayurvedic Research Centre, located in Sec 16, Panchkula, advocates for a natural and effective approach to weight management through Ayurveda.

“Obesity is not merely a cosmetic concern but a metabolic disorder deeply rooted in imbalances of the body’s doshas—Vaat, Pitta, and Kaff,” explained Dr Jain. “An increase in Kaff dosha, in particular, triggers weight gain, inactiveness, high cholesterol, and other health issues. Ayurveda offers time-tested solutions to address these imbalances holistically and sustainably,” she said. 

Dr Shilpa Jain was expressing her views in an online session on the subject of 'management and treatment of obesity in ayurveda'. 

She said that the treatment begins with a comprehensive Body Fat Analysis, assessing 13 critical health parameters, including BMI, muscle mass ratio, body water levels, and metabolic age. Based on the results, a personalized diet and yoga plan is designed to suit individual needs.

Dr Jain said further that a combination of key Ayurvedic therapies are used for managing and treating obesity. We conduct 'Panchakarma Therapy' which is a detoxification process to cleanse the body and restore balance. Udvartana Therapy is also employed; this includes a dry powder massage that targets fat cells, aiding in weight loss.”

She added that, 'Abhyang Swedan' which is a combination of oil massage and steam therapy to reduce Kaff dosha is employed under the treatment protocol. We also use Basti Karam under which administering medicated oils or herbal mixtures as an enema to detoxify and balance the doshas is undertaken.

“Through these therapies, coupled with customized diets and yoga routines, patients experience significant weight loss—between 5 to 12 kg per month—without any side effects,” noted Dr Jain.

Dr Jain highlighted that the body’s doshas play a critical role in overall health. She said, “While 'Kaff Dosha' leads to an imbalance that can lead to obesity, lethargy, and heart diseases; 'Vaat Dosha' is associated with joint pains, bloating, and stiffness. Another dosha - 'Pitta Dosha' can lead to indigestion, acidity, and hormonal imbalances.”

 “Our approach focuses on identifying and correcting these imbalances through proper assessment, including Nadi Parikshan (pulse diagnosis), and administering herbal medicines that are safe and effective,” she added.

As the world grapples with the obesity epidemic, Ayurveda offers a beacon of hope—a natural and sustainable way to fight obesity . “The best part is that in Ayurveda we use natural techniques to counter obesity and there is no need for the patient to undergo surgical fat removal,” concluded Dr Shilpa Jain.

Panchkula, December 1, 2024: The Amateur Golfers Society (AGS) a non-governmental organisation(NGO) organised the 6th edition of its prestigious golf tournament for amateurs– The Amateur Golfers Society Golf Tournament, at the Panchkula Golf Club(PGC). Anurag Rastogi (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary (Home and Finance), Government of Haryana, was the chief guest, while guests of honour were Suresh Chandel, former MP from Himachal Pradesh and Sanjeev Goyal (IAAS), Director General Audit (Defence Accounts), Chandigarh. The tournament saw an impressive participation of 104 amateur golfers, many amateur women golfers also took part.

Winners in different handicap categories got trophies and special prizes. All the participants were given a goodie pack and participation score card. The golfers played all 18 holes in the 72-par course. Brig G J Singh won in the 0-9 handicap category. Brig R P S Rai won in the 10-15 handicap category with a score of 76. Col Gopi Singh with a score of 82 was the 1st runner up. With a score of 76 Sunil Katyal was adjudged the winner in the 16 & above handicap category. While, with a score of 79 each 

S K Goel and A P Singh were the combined 1st runners-up . In ladies the overall winners were Arushi Chawhan & Radhika Verma. The longest drive award was bagged by R K Meena (IPS).

Anurag Rastogi(IAS) congratulated AGS for organising the tournament and promoting the game. The PGC golf course is a beautiful place to play golf with such facilities and tournaments like these more people will get attracted to play the game.

Advocate (High Court) Suresh K. Gupta, Founder Trustee of the Amateur Golfers Society while talking to reporters said, “We have plans to create a state-of-the-art golf range at PGC for giving a fillip to the sport. We will then establish golf ranges in all districts of Haryana in 1 year. We want support from the Haryana government in this regard. We are also coming up with another tournament on 8 & 9 February 2025. What’s more, the AGS has finalised holding a tournament in Malaysia in collaboration with the Malaysian Government.”

Gupta also raised the issue of NHAI wanting to take over 2 acres of the golf course for building a road. I have requested Mr Chandel to get this sorted out.

Suresh Chandel said that he will meet Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways and take up the issue with him so that a resolution is reached.

Luxe Estate which is coming up with The Sky Heights - Panchkula’s tallest ultra-luxury residential project supported the tournament. Manoj Gupta, Director, Luxe Estate said, “Our vision is to provide the highest level of security, best quality of life, outstanding amenities including facilities like yoga, swimming, club house, theatre, a ramped up parking area etc. in our upcoming project.”

As many as 50 life members of AGS were also felicitated. Prominent life members who were present included Patrons S S Prasad (IAS), Ex Home Secretary, Government of Haryana, Vipul Maini and S C Kansal. Life member Sudarshan Goyal too was present.

Suresh Gupta announced that the Amateur Golfers Society has decided to bear expenses for group life & medical insurance for caddies working at PGC.
