The Satkarmic Mission Hosts Life-Transforming Seminar on Women Empowerment

The Satkarmic Mission, a renowned spiritual organization, organized a highly impactful and life-transforming seminar on "Women Empowerment and Punjab: Nurturing Societies" at Smt. Sakindra Sakindra DeviMulti MultiMedia Hall of Maharishi Dayanand Public School

The seminar was led by Bibi Harleen Kaur, the revered spiritual head of the mission, who is tirelessly working towards saving Punjab from the evils of religious conversion, drug addiction, and promoting spiritual growth for societal progress.

The seminar witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 100 women from all walks of life, including teachers, housewives, professionals, students, and social activists. The diverse gathering reflected the mission's commitment to empowering women across various segments of society.

Bibi Harleen Kaur delivered a thought-provoking and inspiring lecture, emphasizing the pivotal role women play in fostering family, community, and societal progress.She passionately emphasized women's pivotal role in combating Punjab's pressing challenges - religious conversion and drug addiction. Bibi Harleen Kaur's engaging and interactive approach included anecdotes, participatory activities, and daily tasks for self-celebration, encouraging participants to embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.The seminar also featured by esteemed guest speakers.

Sardar Inder Preet Singh, President of Shiromani Akali Dal, emphasized the importance of facing adversities with a smiling and peaceful face. He encouraged participants to prioritize mental peace and engage in constructive discussions to avoid pent-up emotions.

Sardar Harmeet Singh, Vice President, highlighted the significance of harmony, meditation, and women's role in shaping characters at home. Sardar Aman Bandvi, General Secretary, stressed the importance of Indian ethos and spiritual strength. He remarked, "Western constructs celebrate annual days, but our Indian practices have always regarded women as guides and spiritual leaders, celebrating Navratras, devis, and women deities since time immemorial.

On this occasion, the Vice Principal of the school, Anju said that it is a matter of great pleasure that this program was organized in school and such knowledge was imparted to the children and parents.

An appeal by Punjab employees to Haryana employees not to fall prey to the false

Chandigarh, September 30, 2024 – 

Mr. Sukhjit Singh, State President of the CPF Employees Union, Punjab, and National Senior Vice President of the National Movement for Old Pension Scheme, today held a press conference cautioning Haryana Government employees about the dangers of falling prey to false promises regarding the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) by the Aam Aadmi Party leaders. He added that the union leaders who raised their voice to demand OPS and justice for the employees were put under house arrest by the state government. To add to their woes, and harass the employees they are transferred to remote areas and police force is also used to pressurize them. 

He also stated that more than 10 meetings, scheduled with the delegation led by union leaders, were deferred by the Chief Minister. The cabinet subcommittee constituted by the state government to address the issues of the employees, is mere killing time since they do not have the authority to address the grievances of the employees. 

The president claimed that wherever elections are announced in any of the states across the country, the AAP leaders start campaigning and misleading the voters by announcing to implement the old pension scheme after forming government, but in reality the party is stalling the same in the states where they are already in power.

Addressing the media persons, he said that in November 2022, the Chief Minister of Punjab announced the implementation of the OPS as a Diwali gift to government employees. However, despite squandering crores of rupees in other states for party promotion and other unproductive activities, the OPS has yet to be restored in Punjab, as promised to the employees, who voted the party to power.

Mr. Singh, on behalf of more than 2 lakh employees of the Punjab, warned that Haryana Government employees should not be misled by similar promises from the AAP leaders. He urged them to learn from the experience of Punjab employees and vote wisely in the upcoming elections.

The president added that the promises that have not been fulfilled by the government include restoration of the Old Pension Scheme, restoration of Pay Scale, evoke Development Tax of Rs 200, full salary to newly recruits, implementation of the 6th Pay Commission and release of arrears for Dearness Allowance (DA).

The teaser shows Guru Randhawa getting down from a police van in a strange place. With rain pouring down on him and the beautiful song playing in the background, crooned by Altamash Faridi, intensifies the feel of the teaser and expectations reaching an all-time high.

The makers of Shahkot have been quite playful with the audiences in their choice of releasing the publicity material on their socials. Where the title poster was a Passport, the motion poster exuded a feeling a separation. The release of second poster featuring Guru Randhawa and Isha Talwar was all things love and romance.

This teaser, radiates a baffled feeling all together. The various emotions expressed with this film are making it a much awaited release, and topping it with this one being Guru Randhawa’s Punjabi debut, opposite Mirzapur trending artist Isha Talwar.

Revealed earlier, the cast ensemble includes powerful presence of Raj Babbar, Seema Kaushal, Gurshabad, Neha Dayal, Hardip Singh Gill, Manpreet Singh, Aulhak Madam, Jatinder Kaur.

This film has been Produced by Anirudh Mohta and directed by Rajiv Dhingra, known for Love Punjab, and comedy nights with Kapil.

Rajiv Dhingra, Director of Shahkot expressed his excitement on this project, and said, “As a Director, my aim is to bring stories, with mass and class appeal for the global audiences. With Shahkot, I can say that this is not a regular love story. As a Director, my aim is to bring new dimension in film making and bring forth stories which have the ability to evoke a feeling of shared emotions with our audiences across the globe”.

Anant Ambani and Murray Auchincloss inaugurate Jio-bp’s 500th EV-charging station at Jio World Centre (JWC), BKC, Mumbai, marking the installation of 5,000 Jio-bp charging points in India

Anant Mukesh Ambani, Director, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Murray Auchincloss, CEO, bp today inaugurated the 500th Jio-bp pulse EV-charging station of Jio-bp, a fuels and mobility joint venture between RIL and bp. This station was opened at Takoli, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

The commissioning of the EV-charging station enables access for guests at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Jio World Plaza and Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, marking the installation of the 5000th Jio-bp pulse charging point in India.  

Jio-bp has expanded its network of EV-charging stations at a rapid pace, growing from 1,300 to 5,000 in just a year. With 95% of its EV-charging network comprising of fastcharging stations—the highest in the industry—the company is poised to deliver highspeed electrons with unmatched industry-leading uptime of 96%, establishing itself as the country’s most reliable charging network.
