Chandigarh, November 17, 2025: Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36, Chandigarh celebrated the 92nd Birth Anniversary of Late Shriman Nirmal Singh ji Dhillon, Secretary, The Dev Samaj Society. He was a renowned Social Reformer and great Visionary Leader.

The celebration was organized under the patronage of Prof. Agnese Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj and Chairperson, Dev Samaj College of Education, Chandigarh and Sh. Maanvinder Singh Mangat, Chief Administrative Officer, The Dev Samaj.

Prof. Agnese Dhillon, while addressing the gathering said, “Late Shri Nirmal Singh ji Dhillon dedicated his whole life for selfless service for the society. He remained a guiding light for the entire Dev Samaj community. He always propagated, inculcating scientific temper in oneself and emphasized on the importance of leading a life of high moral values and ethics.”

She further added that Shriman ji played a pivotal role in strengthening the institutional framework of all Dev Samaj Institutions. The highlight of the programme was a Powerpoint presentation showcasing the Life principles and moral values espoused by Late Shriman ji.

Aligning with Shri Nirmal Singh Dhillon’s tenets, an essay writing competition on the theme ‘Scientific temper: Way to resolve social and cultural issues’ was organized by Dev Samaj College of Education, 36-B, Chandigarh. Simultaneously, Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45, Chandigarh organized an Inter-college power-point presentation competition on the topic" Idea for Sustainable Bharat" in which around 100 students participated.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony awarding cash prizes to the winners from different educational institutions.

The Super 8 teams from these District winners will compete for State Winner.It is a platform for youth to come out of Drug Menace & seek a career in Cricket not only in India but also internationally and give a direction to his/her life.With attractive Prize Money at each level a 4 tiered  District-State-National & International structure makes it uniquely India's 1st & Biggest Tennis Ball Box Cricket league.

The 12th edition of the MACMA Expo 2025, India's premier machine tools and automation technology exhibition, begins on November 14th at the Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh, and will continue until November 17th, with hours from 10 am to 6 pm. Chandigarh: The seventh day of the Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy, being held at Sports Complex, Sector 42, witnessed intense semifinal matches filled with energy, teamwork, and remarkable sporting skills. Spectators enjoyed thrilling encounters as every team fought hard for victory.

The results of semi final matches played were:

In Boys Under-14, St. Kabir School, Chandigarh defeated YPS, Mohali 43–28. Aditya scored 15 points for the winning team, while Gurmat scored 17 for the runners-up. In the Girls Under-14 category, Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh beat GNPS, Chandigarh 46–16. Callista scored 11 points; Prabhjot scored 8 for the opposing team.

In the Girls Under-17 segment, GNPS, Chandigarh defeated Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh 47–34. Sukhman scored 14 points; Samya scored 18 for the other side. In another encounter in the Girls Under-17 category, KV High Grounds, Chandigarh beat Learning Paths School, Mohali 24–14. Sonika scored 15 points; Harnit scored 9 for the runners-up.

In Boys Under-12, Vivek High School, Mohali beat Learning Paths School, Mohali 19–11. Sahajpreet scored 15 points, while Tane scored 4 for the opponents. In another match in the same category, YPS, Mohali defeated Vivek High School, Chandigarh 18–4. Samarth scored 13 points for the winners; Kanan scored 2 for the other team.

In a Boys Under-17 match Vivek High School, Chandigarh beat Saupins School, Chandigarh 32–27. Aditya scored 10 points; Samarth scored 13 for the other team. In another match in the same age category Vivek High School, Mohali defeated YPS, Mohali 46–42. Aditya scored 10 points and Japjeet 11 for the winners; Simarjot scored 18 for the opponents.

In the Girls Under-14 segment, Learning Paths School, Mohali defeated Vivek High School, Mohali 25–13. Khushnoor scored 14 points; Gurrmat scored 6 for the other team.

The Hansali Khera Run 2025, organized by Sant Baba Paramjit Singh Ji and the Hansali Sahib Trust under the blessings of Brahm Giani Sant Baba Ajit Singh Ji Hansali Sahib Wale, officially commenced today at Hansali Stadium, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. The two-day international-standard marathon, held in association with Punjab Tourism, Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, Mohali, and the India Run Festival, is dedicated to promoting a Drug-Free Punjab and raising cancer awareness, while honoring the legendary centenarian runner S. Fauja Singh Ji.

Day 1 featured the Bib Expo, where runners collected their bibs and kits for the four race categories: 5K, 10K, 21K, and 42K. Sponsors showcased exciting displays of bikes and cars, including Suzuki, Toyota, Ultraviolette, and Triumph, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Sant Baba Paramjit Singh Ji Hansali Sahib Wale addressed attendees, saying, "Physical fitness and spiritual purity go hand in hand. The Hansali Khera Run is not just a race, it is a movement to awaken the youth of Punjab towards a life free from drugs and full of purpose. In memory of S.
