Machma Expo, one of India’s premier exhibitions on Machine Tools & Automation Technology, returns with its 12th edition from 14th to 17th November 2025 at the Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh.

ASSOCHAM Rajasthan holds Consultation session 'Vision to Reality, Rajasthan’s Journey'

Session held to celebrate 10 Years of Make in India

Jaipur, Sep 26 2025: As part of Make in India Week 2025, the ASSOCHAM Rajasthan State Development Council organized a special consultation session on “10 Years of Make in India: Vision to Reality – Rajasthan’s Journey” at the AICTE Indovation Centre, Jaipur. The session witnessed participation from government officials, industry leaders, and startup representatives, who came together to reflect on Rajasthan’s role in India’s decade of industrial growth and the path ahead.

Eminent ASSOCHAM representative Shri Gaurav Sharma, CEO, ACIC-VGU set the context for the session with emphasis on achievement of the last decade, the bottlenecks and the way forward for the next decade. Shri Tarun Bhatnagar, Assistant Director, MSME DFO, highlighted that MSMEs have been the backbone of industrial growth during the Make in India decade. He also mentioned various MSME schemes for startups and MSME. Shri Dhawal Singhal, Manager, iStartRajasthan, emphasized that innovation and startups will be central to building an Atmanirbhar Rajasthan. He highlighted various achievements of iStart in the past decade. Shri Jerry Joshy, Startup Fellow & Zonal Incharge, MIC-AICTE, Jaipur, underlined the importance of technical education in preparing skilled manpower to meet Industry 4.0 needs. He briefed about various initiatives by AICTE across the country for entrepreneurship development. 

The interactive session also engaged participants on Ease of Doing Business, Make in India reforms, and future opportunities. Industry representatives, startups, and officials shared perspectives on how collaborative efforts can accelerate India’s growth journey. Mahalaya Amavasya: Purushottam Das Rungta Charitable Trust Organises Community Kitchen

Panchkula, September 21, 2025 On the occasion of 'Mahalaya Amavasya'—the last day of 'Shradhs', a sacred time for remembering and honoring ancestors—the Purushottam Das Rungta Charitable Trust, a reputed Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), organised a Community Kitchen or 'Ann Bhandara' to serve the needy.

Amitabh Rungta, founder of the Trust and a well-known social worker, shared the spiritual significance of the occasion, “'Shradhs' are observed in Hinduism to pay homage to our ancestors. During this 16-day period known as 'Pitru Paksha', Hindus offer food and water to Hindu priests, and prayers to the Almighty with the aim of bringing peace to the departed souls and seeking their blessings for the living.”

He further added,“We organised this 'Ann Bhandara' on such an auspicious day to provide food and water to those in need. It is our humble way of seeking the blessings of our ancestors, who, though no longer with us in the physical world, continue to bless and guide us from the spiritual realm.”

A team of dedicated volunteers from the Trust worked tirelessly to ensure the event’s success. The Purushottam Das Rungta Charitable Trust has been regularly organising weekly 'bhandaras' for several years to support the underprivileged, including passersby and industrial workers.

Retired Colonel's tribute to PM Modi on his birthday: A book on Narendra Modi authored by the army man

Chandigarh, Sep 17: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Punjab Engineering College alumnus Colonel (Retd.) Sanjeev Kaul announced a special gift for the PM. This gift which is a book penned by the Colonel highlights the Prime Minister’s remarkable achievements that have earned India global recognition.

Speaking at Punjab Engineering College, Col.  Kaul revealed that he has authored a book on PM Modi’s digital journey, titled 'Cybernetics Modi, Cybernetics Heart'. The book presents several engaging insights about the Prime Minister and explains how India has established itself as a strong player in the world of cyber defence.

The book also introduces Kaul’s concept of the “Chanakya Chakra,” which he had devised even before the Aadhaar card system was introduced. According to Kaul, the book demonstrates how PM Modi has guided the nation by encouraging new startups, giving youth a platform to innovate. Today, young scientists from India are making inventions that are earning recognition worldwide.

The book will be formally be launched online on October 4, with participation from many prominent personalities. Col Kaul also shared that he will personally present the book to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Col. Kaul mentioned that he, along with his team, will celebrate the PM’s 75th birthday by lighting 75 candles. He said it is a matter of pride for the nation to have a leader who has given India a new identity in the cyber world.

Col Kaul further said that he has commissioned the creation of Prime Minister Modi’s statue through 3D printing. The statue will serve as the centerpiece during the cake-cutting ceremony. He added that PM Modi’s efforts in the field of cyber security are now yielding visible results.

Mohali, September 18, 2025 – British ultra-runner Jack Faint, who is living with a brain tumour, was warmly welcomed in Mohali as part of his extraordinary mission to run the length of India — over 4,000 km in just 80 days. His journey stands as a powerful symbol of endurance, resilience, and hope for millions battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Having already crossed multiple Indian states, Jack’s arrival in Punjab marked a significant milestone in his campaign. His mission resonates deeply with Punjab’s ongoing efforts toward a drug-free society (Nasha Mukti) and greater cancer awareness.
